This is a shot of Caitlin from the June 9 workshop. She is new to modelling and has only posed at my workshops. However each time she poses she comes in with a trust for the process and a genuine excitement for being photographed. This trust and excitement is contagious and has me and the other photographers feel trusted and excited. From this space we become deeply connected to our creative ability. When this happens as it did at this workshop the resultant photos are truly empowering. I think in life one of the greatest restrictions on humans experiencing joy and fulfillment is our lack of trust. We are so conditioned to protect and compete that we pressure each other to feel like we are not trusted and need to prove ourselves. This then has us lose our ability to be creative and free. I hope that images like this one of Caitlin will inspire others to be less rigid in their pre conceived mind set of protecting themselves from others.

what I really like about this portrait, beyond the technical quality, it that the subject is a "real" person in a great moment and an honest moment at that. Trust makes this moment succeed. well done!
