Rational Perspective

NB; nb; I have COVERED the model's face in this shot as she is endeavouring to get a teaching job and is concerned about the ATTITUDE of the various schools she will apply to. She thinks the shot is very BEAUTIFUL and is PROUD of what she has done in the workshops as a model. Whilst I wanted to keep her name and face visible she has been very stressed over this situation and has encouraged me to do this. So I apologise for what has been done to this photo. I believe that as a society we are creating more unhappiness and restriction by choosing to submit to the JUDGEMENTS of others and society over what we know in our hearts to be RIGHT. 14th of March 2012


This is a shot taken at yesterday's workshop. It was taken in a park near my studio. One of the photograher's attending was concerned about what children would think about seeing a nude woman. It was a valid question and also rational in many ways. As it was the spot I picked was very private so there was no need for concern. However it did touch some buttons in me. I cannot see anything dirty or dangerous in a naked woman being seen by children provided the energy and aesthetic is beautiful. In this shot you can see all of the model's body including her vagina. However her energy is very free and innocent and her body to me looks very beautiful. However many parents would be traumatised if their children saw the model naked yesterday. I believe that we humans are so precious about naked bodies and sex that we have created a loss of rational thought on the subject. Sure nudes can be very destructive but can also be very inspiring as was the case yesterday. I see the way we have handled this aspect of life to be like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Sure society is not ready to see naked women in public places. However given how judgemental many of us are over nudity I beleive that we need to search far deeper to gain some real rationality.
