Shot from a recent portfolio shoot I did for a friend. She has been training again after the birth of her first child and wanted some shots to chart her progress. My early photography was centred on mostly fit and toned women. I am still facinated by muscular bodies and even still am not totally sure why. As with everything in life balance is important. However even though the model in this shot may be slightly to the higher end of the balance I still find that it has it's own beauty.
Have added the writing below which is from the model Carly. A few people have asked about her traning ideas so here they are -
I do weight training 3 times a week for bout 40 mins then do 20 mins cardio straight after...I always consume a protein shake within 45 mins after training which restores my muscles and helps them grow... I recommend training with a partner or personal trainer when possible to push you to failure so you can get those extra reps out that you may not have been able to do on your own!!
Change your weight training program every 8 weeks so your body doesn't get used to same things.Always change to wholemeal pastas or bread instead of white varieties . Eat smaller meals more frequently eg: 5- 6 times a day. And eat at least 40grams of protein a day through your foods such as eggs, lean meat, chicken, tofu, turkey etc...
