Fit Women Australia Calendar by Tonyr Fit Women Australia Calendar by Tonyr
This is a shot from my Fit Women Australia Calendar. I did for many years [about 15] produce a calendar titled Pumped Up Down Under that gained a loyal following all over the world. It featured shots of fit women often with free weights. The idea back then was to encourage women to use free weights. In those days most women were not attracted to the concepts of building muscle as most of the imagery in the market was of very masculine looking women. My calendars featured women who used weights but whose bodies and features were balanced and feminine. At least in a small way these calendars inspired some women to venture into gyms to use weights. Also due to the style of shot and the women chosen the calendars also eductated men to appreciate fit women in a respectful way. I still do fitness shots these days but mostly for model's portfolios. However when I was approached by an online German publishing house I decided to once again release a fitness calendar, the first for about 6 years. Here is the link to the German website where the calendar is being marketed.

I'm not surprised. In america 'fit' is the new 'skinny'. It's a fad thing. Finally women believe that just because they lift weights they won't get "huge" and "man-like". Generally speaking. I don't think we're REALLY there yet. There's still a group of "cardio bunnies" who will run on the treadmill for an hour and avoid weights like they have some sort of disease. I'm thankful that your work has such a beautiful portrayal of women. I know a female who 'competes'. She's not that attractive and is actually a bit 'scary'. I do respect that it's her body and her goals, but she loses that 'beauty' look in her pursuit of extreme definition. She's lost the 'softer' features that show her feminine side (and not her boobs, those are fake). But I digress. That is just one man's opinion. Again, thank you for what you do!

Think that it comes down to composure and balance. In our hearts we know what is right for us yet when society pushes things as the way to go we often rush past our own intuitive direction. I like to think that I am pretty balanced in the physiques that I promote on here.
