Hi Taylor,

Thanks for your comments. I think you raise some good points. Am a little confused with how you ended your post though.

You seemed very negative saying that your opinion means very little and also that it is all a moot point.

I believe the issue we are discussing is a very important and powerful one. I also believe that individuals can shape aspects of the world in a very big way.

Best Wishes Tony.

I am not saying "pretty" women should be hid away. I think every shape a human can take can be beautiful in its own way. But what I am saying, is that I think a truly superior artist brings this beauty out in every kind of body, allowing a *sometimes* superficial society to see the loveliness the artist captured. It's an artist's job to illuminate the beauty in everything, and I simply think by limiting your self, you are letting some portion of your talent go to waste, when you could bring to light the beauty of EVERY woman's body, etc. I just think you should use your genuis to better the world, and though your works are beautiful, they aren't exactly new, and don't offer a new outlook. The outlook you use is wonderful, but classic. I just wouldn've liked to see something new. But alas, you are the artist, and you will do as you wish, and my opinion means very little in the long run. I won't change your view, and it truly is a moot point.

Agree that even the most beautiful image of a woman can be viewed by some as just sex. However once again I do not believe we should limit beautiful shots of beautiful women just because some have issues far deeper than just their reaction to photographs of beautiful women.

Thanks so much for your comments. You seem to have a great feel for the motivation behind my work.

Hi again Taylor,

I see what you say re stereotype but I believe in my heart that these women are truly beautiful. Just because similar looking women have also been featured heavily by others should not lessen the beauty of my imagery.

Further I and the models put much effort into being in the moment in shots. By this I mean trying to be peaceful and real rather than forced. I also do not support lust and present my poses to be aesthetically beautiful rather than suggestive.

There is much pain associated with beautiful looking women in society. However I do not see how limiting exposure to beautiful looking women is a positive for society. Sure they should be presented with humility and style but not hidden away just because some people are hurt by comparison.

Re guys getting their jollies I do not actually feel that a guy who lusts after such imagery would bring strength to himself. To my mind lust is a control issue and people who need control do not generally feel good about themselves. The majority of men and women who view my work however are empowered by the view.

Agree again. I do not believe we should limit rare beauty or talent as it may upset others who feel less in comparison. In my opinion so long as the beauty is presented with humility it should be empowering to those who view it.

I do agree that the look of the women I photograph are more popular than many other looks. However I photograph them as I am passionate not specifically because they will or will not be popular.

I liken this to musicians who produce music from their heart rather than what society may condition them to create. Some that do this from the heart also are in line with what society favours and this becomes a bonus.

And I stick by what I said. Being "inclusive" for the sake of being inclusive is wrong. He should shootwhat he's passionateabout. As for MY jollies, they may or may not include nude women. I like music, reading, computer gaming, hikingand on and on. My jolliesare whereI find them.I'm finished.

Hi Taylor,

Thanks for your feedback. I do understand what you say and it is a very natural response. There are of course so many different types of bodies out there. I choose to photograph the ones that to my eye look the most aesthetically pleasing.

Also I do minimal or no air brushing and the majority of women have had no cosmetic surgery. So whilst these women are rare in the community they are real and like talented musicians or beautiful views in nature can be empowering so long as the viewer resists the temptation to feel less in comparison.

Best Wishes Tony.

I'm not going to comment here any longer because that would be abusing this man's DA and that's not very nice. BUT, I would like to say I still stand by what I said. There are plenty of average women who would be willing to shoot so that's null and void. Another thing I'd like to add is that I njoythis photographer's work and when I said that, I meant only to imply something can either be taken as art, or well, sex. And for some people, no matter how talented the artist- it's going to be sex. With that said. Yeah.

To say that he is, and I quote, "a guy just getting his jollies" is an insult to the artist, and to his art.

One of the best things about art, is the freedom we have to express ourselves. This artist has chosen this art-form because that is what he is passionate about. I think you will find that his photos are beautifully and tastefully presented. There are many people out there, many on this site also, who abuse the "artistic nude" format and Tonyr is definitely not one of them.

As for the other body types out there; the women photographed are, I'm assuming, professional models. Professional modelling agencies hire people they believe to have the qualities of a model. One of these being an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
In addition to this, to be naked in front of a camera, and potentially a wider audience, takes confidence. The kind of confidence exhibited by someone proud of their body.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that women have to look like this to be proud of their bodies, I'm just saying that they are probably more likely to expose it if they do.
I believe self confidence is the most important quality in a person, and it's refreshing to see a photographer capture this in a beautiful, artistic manner.

There's more than one type of beauty. I dunno, I just supposed maybe this photographer was capable of liking OTHER body types TOO. It's just so cliche, and it furthers the stereotype that all, or even most women look like this...but I'm sure you're just a guy getting his jollies. You wouldn't get it.
